If you are interested in adopting a companion from us, please be sure to read about Our Adoption Policies, then read about our Adoption Procedure.

Dogs and cats are the most common pets found at the Humane Society's shelter, but there are a wide variety of other animals. Everything from hamsters and guinea pigs to birds rabbits and other animals are often available for adoption.

Even if the animal you are interested in has already been adopted we may have another that can provide just as much love for your family. Come out to the shelter to see who's available. You may find just what you are looking for.

If you are looking for a specific type of animal, check out our Match-A-Pet program.

All of the following dogs are designated as special adoptions: (1) dogs under 1-year of age; (2) dogs that are Pit Bulls or Pit mixes; and (3) other dogs that the CCHS staff have determined will have an increased chance of success if they are provided some structured guidance and/or training.
