I adopted a 2 month old boxer/pit-bull mix almost 4 years ago in April. It was a hard choice. I had my eye set on a full blooded lab that you had in a kennel and next to it was this little boxer mix that was the size of the lab's leg and they were both 2 months old. After going back and forth I fell in love with this little boxer that couldn’t stand up without falling over because she was top heavy, her little legs just wouldn’t hold her up.
Her name was Tippy (appropriately named) when I adopted her and we now call her Maddison.
She has moved all over with me from the Chicago suburbs to open country south of Champaign. I was hesitant to adopt a pit-bull mix but she is the best dog…..People's reactions when they see her are incredible - "Oh she is so cute what kind is she?"
I say Boxer- Pitbull mix, and they run. I don’t mind I am doing my part to disprove the stereotype of the breed.
Maddison has been my stability while my life has changed through my jobs. I thank you so much for adding this special girl to my life.
I highly recommend adopting man's best friend if you have the time, money and place for them……. in your heart.
