In November 2005 my wife and I lost our precious Deacon, also a CCHS alum, to cancer. He was only 8 1/2. It was very sudden. Trying to find a way to cope with the grief and pain of losing our only child.
I visited the CCHS once again in December. We were not even thinking of adopting another pet so soon, but there was little Casey. She was so sweet and full of energy like we remembered our Deacon. She had only been at CCHS a couple of days. I went home and begged my wife to come with me to see her, and 2 days later, on Dec. 15 she was in her new forever home. |

Casey's favorite activities are eating, playing frisbee, fetching anything that is thrown, going for rides and trips, and playing with our granddaughters and nieces.
Deacon will forever be in our hearts, and Casey now has a special place there as well. She is loved, happy, and healthy. Thank you to whoever gave her up. You will never know how much she is loved. I would like to once again thank CCHS for entrusting Deacon and now Casey to our care. Lastly, if you are reading this and thinking of getting a pet, please consider adoption from the CCHS. You will be saving a life, making a difference in an animals life, and if you have never had a pet, you will be rewarded with unconditional love that is like no other. Rick & Cheryl Munds |
