It's Santa Paws Time!

Ho Ho Ho! Santa is coming to the Champaign Country Humane Society gift shop in Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana, on November 4 and 5 to have his picture taken with some very special pets - yours! Tom Schaefges will take pet portraits by appointment with proceeds benefiting the homeless pets at the Humane Society. Mr. SchaefgesÕ work has been featured in Dog Fancy magazine and the Champaign County Humane Society calendar.

Portraits begin at $45 per sitting and include a choice of photo packages. Photos may be taken with or without Santa Claus and may include cats, dogs and humans. Reservations are required and space is limited. Call 217-344-7297 by November 4 for questions or to reserve a seating time. All portraits will be ready in plenty of time for holiday giving.

Founded in 1951, the Champaign County Humane Society is a private not-for-profit organization. The CCHS strives to prevent cruelty to animals, to promote animal welfare, and to educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals. The Humane Society is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The CCHS adoption process includes application approval and a one-day waiting period before a pet can be taken home. Fees for pet adoption are $45 for cats and kittens and $60 for dogs and puppies.
