July 15th “Community Day” at local Monical’s Pizza Restaurants

Will Benefit the Champaign County Humane Society

(Urbana, IL) The Champaign County Humane Society (CCHS) is teaming up with Monical’s Pizza for “Community Day” on Tuesday, July 15th. Participating in this fundraiser for CCHS is easy: Monical’s Pizza customers can make sure that 20% of their bill gets donated to CCHS simply by presenting their server with a Community Day flier.

“Animal care expenses are high this time of year due to the population of kittens at the shelter,” according to Mary Tiefenbrunn, CCHS Executive Director. “That’s why CCHS jumped at the chance to partner with Monical’s for a Community Day fundraiser. We love this type of low-cost, win-win-win promotion. While neither enterprise has to put forth much effort, Monicals’ will benefit when loyal CCHS supporters stop in for a pizza, CCHS will benefit from the money raised, and most importantly, the community as a whole benefits from our ability to provide humane services to companion animals and the people who love them,” Tiefenbrunn said.

Diners must have the Community Day flier with them when they go to Monical’s Pizza for lunch or dinner on Tuesday, July 15th. The Community Day flier is available online at the CCHS web site (www.cuhumane.org) or can be picked up at the CCHS animal shelter in Urbana. Hours of operation are from 2-7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Fliers will not be available at the restaurant.

The following Monical’s Pizza restaurants are participating in Community Day: 205 N. Mattis Street, Champaign; 103 W. Kirby Avenue, Champaign; 2720 S. Philo Road, Urbana; 320 E. Champaign Street, Rantoul; 114 S. Lombard, Mahomet; and 102 W. Vine, Tolono.
