"The animals and staff at the Champaign County Humane Society would like to express our sincere appreciation to Harriett Weatherford for her selfless dedication as the interim executive director during our search for a permanent replacement.

Putting retirement on hold, Ms. Weatherford showed immense compassion for the animals under our care and the animal caretakers as well.

While devoting countless hours and endless amounts of energy to the humane society she has forever touched our lives and those of the animals in our community. The humane society would not be heading in the direction we are today without the leadership and guidance from Ms. Weatherford."
