| Hello Everyone!
Its hard to believe we are already into March! It seems like the year just started! This year has started out very well: we placed over 450 animals into new homes during January and February! That's higher than the first two months last year! Hopefully we will have another record setting year!
Everyone that walks dogs will be happy to hear that Porter, the beagle with arthritis, and Chloe the Dalmatian mix were adopted in February.
The cats Lee, Dinky, and Momma Cat also found their new homes last month. Congratulations to all of them, and all of the other animals that found their homes last month.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for Bark in the Park which will be on Saturday, April 26th. Registration and Dog Games will begin at 9 am, and the walk will begin at 11 am. I will send out more information in next months letter, but save the day if you are interested in helping.
I have a general reminder for everyone: Please remember to log in and out, and to wear a name tag. We keep track of your hours so we know when we can expand on a program, and to let me know if there is a time when we have to many people coming out. Nametags are a must so all of the staff know who you are, and so the public knows you can get animals out.

Dogwalkers will be happy to hear that the dogs may now be walked. They are all anxiously waiting for their walks, but here are a few notes for you to
remember:
- Please clean up after the dogs. Keeping the yard clean and free of fecal matter will keep the dogs healthy and happy.
- Watch for Visit Me Tomorrow and Do Not Walk signs. These dogs can not come out of their kennel for a walk. However, you can visit with them in a get acquainted room or in their kennel. If you do visit with them, remember to wash your hands and step on a bleach pad before you visit another dog, and mop out the get acquainted room before it is used for another animal.
- There will be a new Loose Stool Log hanging up on the Dog Walking bulletin board. Please fill it out completely when you notice loose stool in the kennel, and please don't walk that dog. Also note down any dogs that have a loose stool when you walk them outside. (This is especially important for the housebroken dogs! If they don't leave it in the kennel, we won't know
about it!)
- Please wipe off the dog's feet before you bring them inside in wet weather, or when the yard is muddy. Also, remember to put the dirty towel in the dirty laundry hamper when you are finished walking that day.
Finally, thank you for your time. Everyone has been doing a great job so far, and we wouldn't be as successful with out your help.
