- Saturday, May 25 - 8 am - 6 pm - $3 per person entrance donation* until 3 pm
- Sunday, May 26 - 9 am - noon - $3 Bag Sale; 12:30 - 2:00 pm GIVEAWAY - $1 per person entrance donation
- *Free Saturday admission if you're still wearing your admission bracelet from Friday.
2019 Drop offs accepted
No drop-offs will be accepted after 3 p.m. Saturday May 18.
- Thursday-Friday, May 16-17 - noon to 6 pm
- Saturday, May 18 - 9 am to 3 pm
Donations can only be accepted on these dates, at the sale location (214 S Walnut, Champaign).
What do we want?
Good, useable items that are not broken or worn out. We will accept clothing, but please do not bring items that are stained, torn or badly worn. Yes - we do want books. We are also selling plants, so if you have any extras, bring them by, preferably on May 23. We reserve the right to refuse donations.
What DON’T we want?
Please do not bring anything broken or with missing parts, carpeting, children’s car seats, chemicals, console TVs or old-style TVs with non-flat screens, flammable liquids, guns, weapons, treadmills, rowing machines, large appliances or large pieces of furniture, upholstered furniture, dining room sets, lumber, magazines, mattresses/box springs, paint, tires or windows. We cannot sell these items, and must pay to have someone else haul them away. Plus, they take up a great deal of space in the building.
We will not accept remainders from other organization’s sales.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Sale
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, we will give you a blank tax form. We do not set the value, nor list what is donated. This is the donor's responsibility.
Will you pick up stuff?
We no longer pick up items, as it was a huge drain on our volunteers.
When is the latest I can drop-off items?
Donations will not be accepted after 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, in order that we have time to ready the building for the sale.
Is there an admission to the sale?
On Friday (May 24) there will be a $5 admission charge. On Saturday (May 25) there is a $3 admission charge until 3:00 pm. There is no admission charge for the bag sale on Sunday (May 26). There is a $1 admission charge for the Free Giveaway.
Will there be a bag sale?
Yes, on Sunday, May 26, from 9 am to noon. We provide the bags; everything you can fit in a bag is $3. We’ll close the building at noon to straighten up and then let shoppers back inside at 12:30 p.m. for the Free Giveaway.
Will there be a giveaway like last year?
Yes, 12:30 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 26. There will be a $1 admission charge.
Will I be able to put a “hold” on an item?
Sorry, all sales must be cash and carry.
Will there be food available onsite?
No, there is no room for the concessionaire.

Is there any special help you need?
If you have a truck or van and are willing to help us with set-up on Tuesday, May 14, and breakdown on Sunday, May 26 that would be super helpful. We're especially in need of volunteers to help break down recyclables on Sunday through Wednesday, May 26 - 29. The volunteers who work the sale are worn pretty thin by cleanup, so any post-sale help would be deeply appreciated.
