Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 4 – 7pm at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana Rain or Shine!  

 

What 


A fundraiser and celebration of All Things Dog: A dog walk plus music, doggie activities, contests, prizes, food trucks, and beer by Triptych Brewery!  Businesses support through sponsorships and in-kind gifts. Register to walk your dog and create a fundraising page to help raise much-needed funds for the humane society.


Why

 

Because dogs need your help!  Funds given through the Mutt Strut help the Champaign County Humane Society take care of over 1,000 dogs a year.  They receive veterinary care, soft beds, toys & treats, training, and loads of love - and then are adopted to awesome families who spoil them rotten and bring them to events like this one, where they spread love and goofy-dog-joy to the world at large.  Who wouldn't want to be a part of THIS?

The top fundraiser prize will be awarded to the person (or dog) who raises the most money. Only one person (or dog) will be awarded the top fundraiser prize; a minimum $1,000 must be raised to receive this award. To be eligible for the top fundraiser, registration and any offline-collected donations must be turned into the registration area no later than 4pm on Sunday, May 7th. Top Fundraiser will be announced at 4:45 at the Mutt Strut. Need not be present to receive Top Fundraiser prize.





The Rules

Here’s what you are agreeing to when you come:

By participating in the CCHS Mutt Strut 2017, neither I, my guests, nor my pets hold CCHS or the Urbana Park District liable for any injury, accident, or other malady that we may sustain while participating in the Mutt Strut event. 

By participating in Mutt Strut 2017, each owner agrees to the following rules: 

◦ The entry fee covers one dog. 

◦ The dog handler must be 16 years of age or older. Only one dog allowed per handler. 

◦ All children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. 

◦ All dogs must be on a standard (6-foot) leash (retractable leashes are not allowed). 

◦ Proof of rabies vaccination is required at check-in (current tag or certificate). 

◦ CCHS reserves the right to prohibit participation of any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs. 

◦ Participants must clean up after their dogs. 

◦ Must be 21 with valid I.D. to purchase alcohol. 

◦ Alcohol must be consumed within designated areas. 


Fundraising Rules for Top Prize Winners

The top fundraiser prize will be awarded to the person (or dog) who raises the most money. Only one person (or dog) will be awarded the top fundraiser prize; a minimum $1,000 must be raised to receive this award.
