As a Charity Running Partner of the race, we're proud to participate in this local tradition. Every year, the race provides the opportunity to gather support for homeless pets in need. And you can help.
Registration for this year's Race Weekend is OPEN!
Join us by raising money as a runner or walker on our team! Anyone entering one of the races will be invited to create a fundraising page for a local nonprofit, and share a cause (like homeless pets at CCHS!) with friends, family, and followers.
Closer to the event date, you can also support the shelter by volunteering your time to the race. The race organization relies on people who can block off the course to make it safe for runners, so they offer donations to our shelter, or another nonprofit of your choice, when you give your time! Stay tuned for more information on how you can help both homeless pets, and the community, as a volunteer.

Thinking about running or walking?
The registration cost will rise as we get closer to race weekend, but our non-profit team registration fee will stay the same! Email us for the promo code for our locked-in rate before your register for the races. We'd love to meet you, and make sure you get set up for success as a member of our fundraising team!

Once you've registered for your race, and started your fundraising page for CCHS, we'll stay in touch with more information on how you can engage your friends, family, and followers with our mission and make a difference in the lives of animals throughout Champaign County.
After the race, dedicated team members raising at least $400 for pets will receive a hand-printed commemorative T-Shirt to thank them. The runner who raises the most will name a litter of our spring or summer kittens in 2026! It's just a small way we can say, "thank you for caring, and sharing the message!"
If you have already registered for your race, and now want to run for CCHS, there's still plenty of time to fundraise! Email our Event Coordinator to be added to our team.
