All donations to the Champaign County Humane Society are tax deductible. If dropping off donated items at our shelter, please request a receipt from our front desk before you leave. (Even if you don't need a receipt for tax purposes, we'd love to have your name and address to acknowledge your donation!)
Please do not drop off used medicine bottles, sheets, comforters/bed spreads/quilts, pillows, mattress pads, or shredded paper.
Priority Needs
For use in the shelter, please select these specific brands and product lines. Thank you for helping us keep our pets on a stable diet and in a comfortable, consistent environment by donating these essential items for dogs, cats, and critters.
General supplies for staff, volunteers, and visitors have become quite expensive!
We would also appreciate the simple things we use constantly. Any brand will help:

- Reams of letter-size copy paper
Many of the supplies we need are commonly available, but to make giving effortless, we also use Amazon wish lists. Your gifts originating from the Amazon wish list will ship directly to the shelter, and they'll let us know it's from you, so we can send our thanks!
We care for pets 365 days a year: feeding them, keeping them mentally stimulated, and ensuring their environments are hygienic. We go through a lot of supplies, and we would greatly appreciate your support in replacing them. Here is our full wish list:

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to collect supplies for the shelter.
- Reach out for instructions on accepting any monetary donations you're offered, and to let us know about your event!
- Set the collection time-frame.
- Make the drop-off locations easy to find!
- Publicize your supply drive, and ask everyone to participate.
- Drop off your donations at the shelter at the arranged time.

We gladly accept new or gently used pet supplies of all kinds. It is our priority to use donated items in the shelter, but occasionally we receive items we cannot use directly with our pets, or an excess of items we can no longer store. It is possible that your generous pet supply donations might be directed to our Free Pet Food program, sold at a Used Pet Supply Sale fundraiser, or otherwise used to support our mission.
